Celebrating a New Year – and Reflecting on the Last One

A new year is upon us, and we’re gearing up for a productive, and fun, 2020. At Brighton, we work hard but we also take great pride in our culture, so we view the new year as an opportunity to plan events to help us to strengthen relationships with each other, our clients and our industry colleagues.

A few of our favorite, most shareable moments from last year:

We hosted Take Your Kid to Work Day. Among many tasty and fun tasks, these future CEOs were assigned a project that let them design and promote their own ice cream truck. (And there was ice cream. Lots of ice cream…)10/10 good work.

We got free beer AND 1st place in the marketing division at the #bizdash2019 5k. Looking forward to defending our title in 2020!

The year brought several Bring Your Dog to Work Days. There was more wagging tails than in a usual office day, and all participants were very good. The only thing better than playing with puppies? Raising money for local animal shelters in the process.

We celebrated 30 years in “the business of creativity” with an extravagant party on the Brighton patio, themed in white and randomness, for our Pearl Anniversary.

Our annual agency event was a smashing hit. Okay, more like a bull's-eye, or right on target, perhaps? We threw axes, played laser tag and raced go-karts, but most importantly JD lost to Kimball at everything.

As part of the ICOM network annual meeting, marketing executives from around the world convened at Brighton to discuss industry challenges, share successes and, of course, enjoy Cardinals baseball and toasted ravioli.

Another year and another round of Brighton Mini-Masters. It’s a tradition unlike any other (and very unlike the one put on by the pros). Last year, we shut down desk duties and constructed mini-golf courses set to the theme of “holes.” Pictured above: the watering hole.

See that lettuce? It grew from the garden we started this year. We even ate it (and other garden goodies) during one of our Happy Hours.

We went defeated in volleyball, went to the playoffs (somehow), and went on to win a match in the first round (you can tell because of how smug we are). YEAH TEAM!

We can’t wait to plan new events, and bring back some annual favorites, for 2020!
