Chief Creative Officer
Jim is living proof that creative and business visions can coexist in one brain. With a BFA from Bradley University in art and advertising, Jim has continually fostered a collaborative environment that delivers innovative, smart solutions to clients globally, including Bayer, Ascension, Biogen, Cover Missouri, J&J and Cardinal Health. His creative philosophy focuses on the idea rather than a specific channel, and he encourages teams to approach any project from this perspective. Jim has won numerous industry creative awards including the REGGIE, One Show, Effie, HOW International, Graphis and ADDY. He has also judged many award shows and has been a frequent media critic on various advertising topics. Most recently a partner and group creative director at FleishmanHillard, he joined Brighton in 2019 as senior vice president and leader of our healthcare and life sciences team.
Because Jim loves creative, he also teaches it, serving as adjunct professor, guest lecturer and advisor at local universities. When not working on the “big idea,” he competes on another field; A baseball player in college, he coached his sons’ teams before returning to the game himself, joining a competitive men’s league in St. Louis.
