New Year, New People!

by Lizzy Martin

As we extended a warm welcome to 2013, we also began the new year by welcoming two new employees on our team. We're happy to introduce Scott Hendry and Michelle Stone.

Scott Hendry

Where are you from?  Kirkwood, MO

Do you have a spouse, kids, pets?  Have them all.  Wife, Lisa, is kindergarten teacher.  Daughter, Erin (23), is working in New York as photo assistant for Prevention Magazine. Son, Chris (20), is a sophomore studying at Webster University.  Two dogs: Lucy & Scooter.  Three cats: Buster, Boomer & Daisy.

Before Brighton, what was your professional role?  Worked in Account Service the last 4 years for a small B2B agency, Direct Impact.  Prior to DI, started out in 1993 as production manager and then on to operations/management at larger full-service B2B agency.

Now, what is your current title at Brighton? …and what does this role entail? Account Executive.  I’m the point of contact for the client with the agency and work with internal personnel on estimates, strategy, projects, etc.

Do you have a favorite thing about working at Brighton?  Being back in a bigger agency environment with a lot of great people.

What was your first week working at Brighton like?  Very cool. Jumped right in and helped out with a new business pitch that we ended up landing.

Do you have any hobbies?  Reading, finding new/consuming micro brews, watching entirely too much TV.

What is your favorite food?  Anything cooked over charcoal!

What was your favorite Christmas present? I always wanted an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle – but couldn’t get one ‘cause I might shoot my eye out.

Michelle Stone

Where are you from? I grew up here, in St. Louis.

Do you have a spouse, kids, pets? I’m married.  My husband, Marc, is an attorney at Peabody Energy.  We have 4 yr. old twins, Zoey and Ryan. And, a yellow lab named Patrick.

Before Brighton, what was your professional role? I was an account supervisor at Bernstein-Rein Advertising in Kansas City.  I managed the Hostess Brands Snack Cake business.

Now, what is your current title at Brighton? …and what does this role entail? Account Manager.  Managing day-to-day activities for commercializing Natura Pet products.

Do you have a favorite thing about working at Brighton?  So far, I really like the Monday morning meetings.  It is a great way to start off the week and to hear what is going on around the agency.  The candy bowl at the front desk is a close second!

What was your first week working at Brighton like?  I had a great first week.  Everyone is so friendly and people have gone out of their way to help me get up-to-speed on Natura and to welcome me to the agency and the team.

Do you have any hobbies? I love to cook and bake.  I frequently try out new recipes on the weekends.  I also love to read (although I don’t always have the time) and have a long list of “must-reads” that I hope to get too soon.

What is your favorite food? Eggplant Parmesan

What was your favorite Christmas present? I celebrate Hanukkah, but my favorite gift this year was a new purse.

Anything else you would like to add…

I’m really happy to be here and am looking forward to getting to know the Brighton team.
